  1. I received the exact same response letter with the request for my credit report from authmedia from a Jessica Cooper claiming to work in human resources. Thankfully their weblink (jobs@authmedia.com) did not work, but the situation definately needs to be handled with caution. Totally bullshit.

  2. Thank you. I responded to a similar job posting on craigslist and received an almost identical email wanting my credit report. I thought it seemed odd so I decided to Google the company before I did anything and found your blog. You saved me a major headache!

  3. Me, too! Same thing...thought it might be a real job, sent my resume, and then they wanted my credit report! I knew better, looked it up, and here we are! What crap!

  4. I just got one too from Jessica Cooper. I got suspicious when the email asked me to do a credit check. Did anyone report this?

  5. I didn't report it..should we just have it flagged on craigslist? It's sad because we were smart enough to kow that this is a scam, but desperate people might not think as clearly about it and do it. I wonder what type of info these people are trying to steal exactly? I will flag mine!

  6. Yes by all means flag it. As far as I know that is the only way to notify craigslist of the scam. Since I found similar ads I have flagged them. Hopefully craigslist will pay attention.

  8. Same thing happened to me today! From Craigslist of course...I thought it seemed odd so I decided to Google the company before I did anything and found your blog.
